Description
The Troutville community built its first "high school" in 1905, a two-story, four room school. The first school burned in 1913, a new school was built that served as a combined elementary and high school until 1927. A new high school was constructed in 1927 and remained Troutville High School until 1959. Students in the community attended Lord Botetourt High School thereafter.
