Title

SR119 Salem

Description

In 1952, residents of South Salem started a petition drive to incorporate a new town, Mount Regis. This was countered by residents desiring annexation into Salem. With some legal maneuverings and posturing, the “Mount Regis” citizens settled down, acknowledging annexation was the pre-determined outcome. Soon thereafter, Salem expanded its borders.
