My mother, Lois McConnell remembers visiting her sister at about 6yrs (about 1930) and riding the incline from the bottom of MIll Mountain to the top and back. There was no star at the time, but a lookout and trails and a park to enjoy. As a teenager, I went to the Mill Mountain Theater for productions often, usually on dates. So much fun! We would walk around the star during intermissions.
